The Purpose of Tactical Defense
The true purpose of a self-defense course is to provide technical information that requires practice and supplementary courses to ensure the result provides an effective solution to real situations of offense, threat, or danger.
According to the Yoseikan method, the purpose for women is to offer an additional opportunity to acquire basic techniques alongside psychological, preventive, and legal aspects. This includes information concerning the development of physical and emotional potential, enriching the knowledge base needed to achieve the objective.
Understanding Violence
This experience draws attention to the fundamental notions that regulate the relationship between the individual and suffered violence. Violence is considered the result of multiple reactions by the aggressor, such as responses to stress, frustration, or the desire to impose oneself. We seek to put the practitioner in optimal conditions to become aware of her state as a victim/woman, highlighting potential defenses and limitations.
Through the Yoseikan method, we encourage practitioners to be aware of their own resources. By using easy-to-perform exercises, we help them manage impulsiveness, aggression, fear, and all elements constituting the emotional heritage of each individual.
Resource Awareness
Research & Comparison
The ability to identify emotional manifestations or personality traits of the aggressor—including weak points, times, places, and methods—allows practitioners to become responsible, conscious, and masters of their physical and mental strength. This process helps them define their own personal limits regarding violence and what they are willing to suffer.
Become responsible and conscious.
